The office operates under the Engel & Völkers brand. Dirk Engel started the original agency in Hamburg in 1977, and Christian Völkers built it into a franchise network that now spans more than 30 countries. The brand opened its first office outside Germany in Palma de Mallorca in 1990 and introduced its franchise model in 1998.
