BC Energy Step Code

The BC Energy Step Code is an optional but increasingly mandated set of progressive energy-performance steps applied to new construction. Steps 1-5 each tighten envelope, airtightness, and mechanical requirements. Most BC municipalities now require at least Step 3 or 4 on new residential.
