Meet Aplin Martin Consultants
Aplin & Martin Consultants Ltd. has worked on land development and public-works projects since 1968. The firm keeps civil engineers, land surveyors, urban planners, architects, and biologists on the same staff, so a project can move from rezoning and survey through servicing design without changing consultants.
The head office is in North Surrey. The firm runs nine offices total: Surrey (main), a second Surrey Central office, Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Oakville, and Ottawa. Across those offices it employs roughly 270 people.
The civil side handles roadways, sanitary and storm sewers, watermains, site grading, earthworks balancing, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control. On the land-development side the work covers subdivisions, townhouses, high-rises, and master-planned communities, plus the municipal approval steps each of those needs.
For a small infill multiplex, the value is that the survey, the planning advice, and the servicing design all sit in one firm. That matters most when a lot needs a new service connection, a lot consolidation, or a stormwater plan to satisfy the city before a permit issues.
